the only detail I can remember is a sailing ship
A few years back heard it chosen on desert island discs and wow! thought i d look it up when I got home but forgot. Have trawled through Desert I. D. archive but not really sure what I m looking for. very classical, very lovely.......
that is too late. It was definitely early 60's. friends have suggested the bucaneers and Sir francis drake. I have looked on you tube but the theme tunes not the one, also did a search on Desert Island discs for both and Ivor Stanley??
it wasn t captain pugwash! unfortunately. It was some classical music that someone chose (also remembering it for the theme tune to sea/island tv series early 60's) - on desert island discs. I can picture the (old fashioned) sailboat sailing cross the tv screen. must be around 1963
yes it s got to be robinson crusoe. don t remember it in any detail - can just remember that i liked it. Have just referenced it on desert is. discs and it was Pen Hadow (and also Will Carling) who I was listening to (in 2004) I thought it was a couple of years ago so it took ages to trawl through archives!
