Spacestation on view 9 49 pm for 4 minutes but just 1 minute before you might see the progress supply rocket for 4 mins same direction WSW DEPARTING E . Hoping for clear skies .Good luck. Posting early as I have to go out but will be back to view this . There will be another sighting at 11 24pm but only 1 min.
Bobbi - you need to be sure of the incoming direction, that's how I missed it at first - this time, by Wendilla's direction, coming from West South West so coming from the Lake District towards you, high up and bright. Dead straight line. Going straight across out over the north sea.
We have a very red sky here in Lancashire, which as you know, means one thing,
Red sky at night, shepherds delight
Red sky in a morning
Birkenhead's on fire
Bobbi a tip for you to help, If you don't see the planets out you won't see the Spacestation and if you look in the direction where the sun sets you will spot it. It will always come in approx the same direction maybe a bit further to the left or right . This is the best I can explain it .Once you have seen it you will have an idea where to look each time. I have seen it for over 3 years now so I spot it straight away .Good luck.
That's right Alavahalf it does NOT blink. I have just looked out and here in Leics it is clear skies and planets all on view.First time this week sky has been clear here.
Oh wow, I've just seen it thanks to Abers mentioning it, thank you so much. Flew straight over our garden, bright white light, not flashing so I knew it was it. Thank you again for keeping us informed.
I was all ready to sit in the garden with a beer and watch it ...we have absolutely clear skies once again.
I've only gone and missed it because I was concentrating on the crisps thread... gutted.
Have now set my alarm and will watch it at 23.25 ... suppose I will have to open another beer.!
