Hotels in Las Vegas
Hi, four of us O.A.P's are going to Las Vegas in October for three nights. Can anyone recommend a good value hotel - we are trying to do this on a budget.
Thanks

I think you might be pleasantly surprised to see just how affordable Vegas is right now, with the economy the way it is. I live here in the U.S., and some friends just returned from there and had really nice rooms on the strip for under $85 per night... which is a steal.
I go to Vegas for business purposes and have come to really like the Gold Coast chain of hotels. They are a much quieter, off the strip and furnish tranportation to the strip every 30 minutes, 24/7. Check here: http://www.goldcoastc...s/offers-and-packages
The hotel has 5 restaurants and a large casino...
Welcome to the U.S., by the way!

We stayed at the Tuscany Suites, just off the Strip, on Flamingo I think. The rooms are huge, even for the US, with a full kitchen area if you want to look after yourself a couple of times. We booked it on the Nevada/Utah border but the online sites usually have very good rates, we paid $35/night in April, a bargain!
