Thanks all, 4 pages of WW1 enlistment papers and no exact birth date, i need it to spot his death as the birth date could be the clincher in a choice of 2.
... me too.
29 years and 96 days (9 days in July, 31 in August, 30 in Sept and 26 in Oct)
I got 24th July 1885 allowing for 7 leap years in that 29 years
well I was within a day or 2 of the rest of you
You don't count leap years here. Going back 96 days takes you to July 22nd 1914. Then just subtract 30 years to reach July 22nd 1885.
I meant 29 years.
ok I chose the difficult option and did the 29 years first - lol Anyway interesting 10 mins
Just looked at my calcs - never used the 7 extra days anyway - just a couple of arithmetical errors - gave me my incorrect answer
MS Excel says 22nd July
I bet there's a website somewhere which will tell you without you having to do difficult calculations.
You might get something from Wolframalpha but Excel is just as easy.
