Why would Gadaffii have his grand children anywhere near him?

OK so he must know he's a target so surely he'd make sure his nearest and dearest are nowhere near him. Can anyone explain this mentality?

Yes, I know. Sometimes I'm obtuse on purpose. I'm just glad it wasn't actually our bomb this time. Since my stint in the Middle East I'm irritated that somebody justifies killing somebody because of their ethnic beginnings. "typical thick Arab" is a racial slur and entirely unjustified in my opinion. Most of the Arabs I met there were warm and friendly. I was honored to become a symbolic member of a Kuwaiti tribe. They eat the same things we eat more or less. Chicken, beans, rice, potatoes.
I put up with the same red necked thinking here. Its like saying George Bush represents Christianity for white people. Yes Gaddafi is a nut. He's been there for 41 years pretty much left to his own devices, yet at this moment when the world is on the brink of recession and economic collapse we have to kill him RIGHT NOW. So many wars are going on at the moment. Why do we need to join another? I saw on the BBC the other day that people were complaining American planes weren't dropping those bombs. Good grief, we can't get anything right apparently.
