More Avatar Trouble

I have registered a avatar with Gravatar, but can't find a way of getting it from that site onto the AB site. I must be missing something really simple, but it won't be the first time.

you have a picture?
you then click on G this allows the picture to be shown infron of all ages, you then double click that picture and you will get"use this picture", it will appear by itself beside your email address, come back to here and press ctrl and F5 together in your profile

Are you 100% sure that you've used the same email address to register with Gravatar as you have to register with AB? (They MUST be the same. AB's server examines Gravatar's server to see if your email address is listed there. It's the only way that the two systems are linked).

Also, have you activated your avatar from the button in 'My Profile'?

Yes, the usual problem is not using the same email address. There have been a few cases on here where users have insisted they have used the right email address but eventually remembered they did indeed have a different email address.

Think I need to give up on this. When I log into Gravatar, it shows 2 boxes with my chosen pic. The top box says select an e-mail address below. You have selected this e-mail address. Now choose an image below to use for this address. I then double click on the bottom image, it asks me to confirm, which I do. I then go into my profile on AB, press control and F5, and nothing. I've broke it.

Is the same as the one here:
http://en.gravatar.com/emails/

If it isn't, change one of them to match the other.

Have you followed this up, Parsfan?
After selecting the avatar on Gravatar and checking the email address matches your AB email address, have you gone back into your AB profile (edit profile) and ticked the box to activate your avatar (and then pressed submit or confirm)?

I think that's the bit people sometimes miss - at the last stage, tick the box as factor says, then go right down to the bottom of the page and click Submit. Then come back on here and see what happens - it can take several minutes to go live.
