Wrong e-mail address

i was sent an important e-mail via hotmail.com, but the person who sent it spelt my surname slightly wrong(ie instead of ei) so i never received it,how do i retrieve it.

Am sure the techno's will come up with something better but why not just contact him/her/them/it again and confirm your correct contact details?. Suggest they use the 'reply' facility.
I don't think you can - it will have gone into the black hole of undeliverable emails, or have been sent to a person who does spell their name like that. Asking them to resend correctly would be the best option.
You could register a new Hotmail a/c with the ie address, or tell the sender of the error
