Claire's exit to France was questioned by many characters, including herself, but was a course of action reluctantly pursued because the alternative for her was almost certainly prison; Xin and Graeme's sham marriage is certainly a reckless course of action by those two characters but one they entered into naively in the expectation it would not be such a complicated business and would help Xin - who was established as a good friend of TIna - stay in Britain.
Having said all of this, I do appreciate you taking the time to express your views and the sentiments of other users of The Answerbank. JTH, I gathered that, I was just trying to keep my post connected to this thread. I had it all in my original thread, but it stopped when I asked him why he doesn't go on about the inordinate number of murderers etc in Corrie. He only seems to protest about gay characters. Methinks he doth protest too much, JTH ;)
