I've only just started to look into my family tree and I'm finding it a bit frustrating, I've found my grandfather and his wife but I can't seem to link my father and his 10 brothers and sisters to him. At the mo I'm not registered with any Family search (mainly because of the cost). Any tips would be helpful.

Look at Alfred O(Osborne) Hopwood Litherlands WW1 Canadian expeditionary forces record on ancestry, he was killed in 1917.

iT Is intertesting that Alfred was sent to the St Swithins Industrial school in winchester when he was only young (he's there for the 1891 census) and then emigrated to canada in 1905 , he's on the 1911 Ontario census:

Blimey dotty that was a good find. I thought he must have died.They certainly got around in those days I wonder why he got to go to Winchester. I looked through one of the links and find that a Thomas Spooner Litherland was committed to Broadmoor for murder. I don't think it was in my family though, hope not. lol This is really good I will look at it again tomorrow if I get chance. It's my birthday today but we are out tomorrow for a meal
