sim only contract on three

I applied for a contract phone with three which they didn't accept because of my credit rating so I thought maybe I could gain their trust with a sim only contract which they accepted.

I was wondering how long before I can upgrade the sim only to a full contract mobile?

It could be a long while, your credit rating needs to improve first. have you looked at your credit report?

No I haven't. I know when I was on orange sim only it was about 3 months before I got my contract. I read somewhere that someone had a three sim only for just a month and they called to see when they could upgrade and had offers thrown at them.

Lala, be warned, the customer service with 3 is abysmal.

I once had a contract with 3. It was a nightmare trying to cancell it. wouldnt touch 3 again with a bargepole.

I agree with the above regards customer service and trying to get out at the end of your contract .. this was my reason for leaving them when my contract was nearing the end and looking elsewhere for another supplier!

or maybe you could just ask 3 who will be the only ones who can decide anyway?

Three was the only one who would give it to me. I have the text sim only contract which is £5 a month do you think they'll give a contract after I've used that a few months or would it be better to get a higher priced one?

why so desperate for a contract? they are not normally the most economical options..

Because it's probably work out cheaper for me. I use my phone a lot and the amount I top up is probably more than a monthly bill. Plus I get a new phone :)
