MAILER-DAEMON

I receive masses of mail apparently from 'MAILER-DAEMON', 'Postmaster' and 'Mail Delivery' supposefly about mail that has not or cannot be delivered. Fortunately filtering systems get rid of most of them, but does anyone know who these persistent people are or what they are tryhing to achieve?

Thanks Trim. An interesting link and quite a lot of exploring to be done. I had wondered if these emails were harmful or perhaps carried viruses. It seems I shall just have to go on ignoring them. Apols. for the typing error.

Just add them as spam keywords at source (on your ISP webmail service) Then you shouldn't see many of them.

Thank you AlB. I have done so and hope I've put a stop to it, but still wonder why these nuisance people do it.
