Does anyone have any personal information on diabetes please? I am convinced I have it. I have looked at various websites and seem to have every symptom. I have tried to get an appointment with my doctor but they have nothing until monday. I am now really worried.

Your OP stated that you are really worried. I know that A&E is for accidents and emergencies, but as you're so anxious do you really think you can wait until Monday (if symptoms persist) without some form of assurance?
Does your GP's practice have a nurse practitioner you could speak to?

Thank-you all who have answered. Sorry to Philtaz, I wasn't being ungrateful to your suggestion or anything, it just panicked me. The thing is, when I feel like this I tend to eat sugary things which then makes me feel a bit better.
I feel dizzy quite often so I make myself a really strong orange squash which seems to do the trick after a little while.
Sorry to be so dramatic but I just got myself into a bit of a state worrying about it. I've been pouring Rescue Remedy into my mouth since I read the A&E comment.

No offence taken, it's just that I hear a lot of 'I waited for a GP appointment' tales when in a few(obviously not all) cases it was a far better option to go to A&E.
Getting a GP appointment can be a nightmare and as a result of the system, particularly on Friday afternoons, a lot of people go to A&E as there is very little alternative.
As long as you're on the mend, that's fine.

flip, perhaps a good way for you to look at it is that people live WITH diabetes, they rarely die FROM diabetes.
when you get to see your gp he will probably initially do a very simple urine test which will involve you peeing in a bottle, into which he'll dip a small stick which will change colour depending on what's in your urine. IF (big if here) he thinks it's worth it, he may then do a small finger prick to test your blood to see what your blood glucose level is.
in the unlikely event that you do have diabetes, type 1 or type 2, you're not going to come to any harm waiting till monday.
