ACER NETBOOK SCREEN PROBLEM

Can anyone help me?
I have a problem with the screen on my netbook.
only half of the screen is working and the half that is has a "cracked" effect going diagonally across it.
Many thanks in advance.

I've lost the sound on my lappy!
