I HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED MEBEVERINE 125 mgs THREE TIMES A DAY PRIOR TO FOOD I HAVE BEEN REFERRED TO A GASTRO INTESTINAL CONSULTANT FOR POSSIBLY INVESTIGATIONS FOR IBS/DIVERTICULITIS I HAVE NOTICED A REDUCTION IN MY LOWER GUT-ACHE BUT WONDER IS THERE A TIME PERIOD BEFORE I NOTICE ANY REAL REDUCTION IN THE DISCOMFORT I HAVE BEEN TAKING THE DRUG FOR 4 DAYS ANY COMMENTS WOULD BE WELCOMED

I have been taking Mebeverine for the past few years for IBS. How long it takes to see improvement depends on how serious your problem is. I can't actually remember the length of time but things do settle out eventually.
I also found that life is better if I keep fat intake very low.
