Pill Query

I'm on Yasmin for non-contraceptive use and am towards the end of a packet (5 left).

I started my bleed earlier this evening which was a bit unexpected, not worried about it - figure it's just been knocked out by me being sick a few times recently and brought my period on early and it's not like there is any chance of me being/getting pregnant at the moment.

My query is do I keep taking the rest of the pack then have the normal break to keep my cycle in sync timing/tablet wise or just treat this as my break and start the next pack when it's done.

personally i would do the first thing
I take Yasmin too and often get an unexpected bleed. If you keep taking the pills you'll get this spotting possibly up until the next break, so you'll have an extended bleed. If this puts you off, you can stop taking them now to let the bleed come, then restart in seven days time You could even finish the current packet, have the next packet then have a bleed. The tablets in a packet of Yasmin are all the same so there's no phasing to worry about.

Ah that's good to know, I wasn't worried about the bleed as all looks like a normal and makes sense with it being brought forward. I've not been on the pill pill long (was on Depo for years before a break and didn't last long on Dianette as it gave me such bad headaches) so wasn't sure what was best.

I don't mind an extended bleed if I keep on taking them, just wasn't sure if it would stop the bleeding them start it again when I finished the pack and didn't want to screw up my cycle by stopping and starting as it's made such a difference sorting out my cycle.

Thank you both for your advice.

Yes.
It doesn't suit everyone but you might be interested to know you can actually take three or four packs end to end without a bleed - made a real difference to the problems I was having!
