I thought the quality of the finalists at Cardiff was first rate. I loved the Russian girl as well. And Andre ???? is already at Glyndebourne this year. Oops got to watch Brassed Off now on Ch4, one of my favourite films.

Andrei Bonderenko, not sure exact spelling, but was brilliant. All were excellent, but that girl made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. All will have good careers, as you say he is going to be at Glyndebourne, and look forward to seeing them appear on the opera stage.

What memories you have brought back, I remember Mario Lanza's songs, a young man I knew at the time had a lot of his records, he was killed in a car accident when he was 18years old, it brings back memories of him. As for the Spaniard that Blighted my Life, I used to sing that to myself if I found was getting angry at something, it calmed me down. lol
