a friend who loves car boots and yard sales pulled over when she saw a yard full of stuff near an open gate and started to have a rummage, she had set a couple of things aside and was looking around for someone to pay when a chap jumped out of a large truck and asked what she thought she was up to, turned out he was cleaning out his work truck and was about to put it all back, ready for the next days graft, she was so embarassed i don't think she will ever get over it.

Ha ha I have done that too...the folk were actually moving! To be fair, they had left the yard sale sign up from the previous day.
That's so embarassing, I wouldn't get over it either.

I once rummaged through the "whoopsie" trolley in Asda only to discover it was actaully someones shopping. So embarrassed :-(
*actually*
What's a whoopsie trolley ?
Whoopsies are goods marked down in price.Asda puts yellow stickers marked "whoopsie" on them to draw your attention to them and not to be mistaken for full price items.
Not in my Asda they don't.

so glad you answered wolfgang, i will show this to her, at least she will know she's not alone in pratland. i never heard the name 'woopsie trolley' either, its just the 'short date' trolley around here, and there is quite a lot of folks looking for it now, it used to be just a few pensioners (and me).
