OMG...Extreme dizziness! :(
52 Answers
I posted before about getting dizzy when I got out of bed first thing in the morning, I was literally walking into the wall lol. I am now getting dizzy when I'm lying down in bed and move my head or turn over, I feel like the room is violently spinning and I am falling. Going to the doctors next week about it, any tips on preventing it in the meantime because it is horrible.
TIA

The sickness part is horrible, I remember my first main attack when I was about 17 and off on a residential volunteering project, scared the hell out of me, threw up a number of times before I could get to my room then was thrown to the floor by it only to have to wait to be found by some rather perplexed fellow volunteers, carried to my bunkbed and having my contact lenses taken out by someone...not pleasant!
I usually seem to get a warning with mine, I feel very sick to the stomach then go into this horrible cold sweat so know to brace myself and get near a loo! My mum isn't so lucky and suffers far worse and is a lot further down the line in terms of hearing loss etc... I was only borderline hearing assistance last time I had mine done but it's up and down.
You do adjust though, I used to be so conscious of being off balance and my up and down hearing but it's more normal to me now. The pressure and clicky ears do drive me mad though.
Hope you get a vertigo free better rest tonight! Let us know how you're doing.

Well I suppose thats one thing at least, I've not been sick although I have felt nauseous and like I'm about to pass out.
Had a full 9 hours sleep last night undisturbed and the dizziness isn't so bad this morning. I had a wee wobble when I got out of bed and I feel a bit...foggy (can't find the right word to describe it!) and I feel really tired still - thats with 9 hours sleep last night and 4 hours sleep yesterday afternoon.
If all of my symptoms are gone by tomorrow will the doctor still be able to diagnose me?

I've had random (ie unidentifiable) vertigo a couple of times, had all sorts of tests and had the Stemetil not worked would have had to go for a scan. It wasn't positional though as that as said already is due to grains falling off and need to be put in place with head exercises. My doctor said it was most likely an inner ear virus and once the tablets had used up it had gone. The main thing is they eliminate the known causes and if none apply the tablets treat the symptoms pretty well in most cases.
Thanks for your advice sqad over the last few days! :)
em10 - The slurred speech happened when I had a headache on Saturday night, she said its rare to have slurred speech with an inner ear infection so if it happened again it would need looked into. She just said maybe it was part of the vertigo. Took my blood pressure and asked about my symptoms and that was it.
