The simple answer is that you CAN'T get rid of them without either shooting or trapping them. You can discourage them from visiting by ensuring that there is no food available; i.e. no bird table, no nut or berry trees, no fruit trees or plants etc, they will then (possibly) go elsewhere. If you have a problem that you cannot live with then contact your local environmental health department who will give you advice. If you are able to, you should try to appreciate them and their antics. You could try providing them with food (nuts and potato peelings etc.) in one particular area, which they will soon become to adopt as their own and then they will leave other areas alone.
You could send them a bill for unpaid rent. That should make them clear out pretty fast.
If you can't shoot them get someone in who will they are in the building because you are'nt a threat to them if you were a threat to them they would stay away from your area . You can get squirrel traps or rat traps and them release them somewhere else but I would'nt fancy trying to open the cage to let them out as they can be quite vicious . I have a scar on my thumb from a bite from one of them that I caught in my parent's bedroom so don't start me off on sqiurrels again!!
