Lost tool bar.

I seem to have lost my toolbar that runs on top my screen. How do i get it back? Could you please answer in non-computer language as I'm a bit of a technology Luddite.

Selective reading of answers is a wonderful thing!
Bookbinder - how can carrust Click View, then Toolbars, click Navigation Toolbar? He says he has lost his toolbar.
sir.prize: I asked carrust "Can you tell us exactly what you can see at the top of your screen?"
carrust replied: file edit view history bookmarks tools help.

BB -I'll just sit here confused and wonder exactly what carrust has lost.

Downloaded spell checker, right clicked, clicked on check spelling, red line comes on spelling mistakes...nowt happens

Have you tried any of my 3 suggestions that I posted at 16.22 today?

BB. When I press Alt key the only thing that happens is file gets highlighted in blue.
What about the view button on your screen?

View button shows; menu bar,navigation toolbar, bookmarks toolbar, add on bar, tabs on top. All these are ticked
