I have just changed 3 cartridges in my printer Epson Stylus SX125 - the black one didn't need changing. I've tried to print off a new quiz but it won't print in colour only black & white
Go to Start > Printers & Faxes.
Right-click on the icon for your printer.
Look for a 'Maintenance' tab (or similar) and click on it.
Look for a 'Deep clean' (or similar) option and run it.
Then print a test sheet. (You might need to run the cleaning utility several times to fix the problem).
I've tried all that Chris replaced the black cartridge and printed off a test page and it is still in black and white and now it says that the cartridges are almost empty I'm getting really stressed now
This sounds like an idiot question, but are you sure that you have taken all the sealing strip off the contacts on the colour cartridge? (I speak from experience!)
Years since I had an Epson, so this is a bit of a guess.
If the colour cartridges were empty, did the printer switch to printing in grey-scale?
You might find such an option checked in the printer configuration options.
