A relatively easy offering this week by Kruger. Athough I have completed the grid, I still cannot work out the original answers to 20ac and 38ac.

"Thank you kindly Sir" she said. However, not really a great record AG-S, haven't completed them all by any means, especially those monsters designed by Mr O! Talking of which, I seem to have ground to a halt on this one too, perhaps I am not concentrating as much as I should.
I wonder whether no. 1000 will be three interlinked grids from Mr OOO
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
HHH!
No! anything but that!
I am thinking along the lines that it will feature the letters G,K and/or M! Has anyone been sad enough to work out the date on which EV 1000 will be published in hard copy rather than on CLUEDUP?
Doesn't take much working out DocHH - 22 weeks from Sunday is New Year's Day......Now what happened Jan 1st 1962????????????? I can see M &/or K, but why G?
The BRB lists G as grand (1000 dollars)! Do you think we'll be challenged with an EV on Xmas Day?
Hello all
Thought I'd better report in, as I haven't been communicating for a while. I seem to be playing catch-up and have just finished this week's colourful offering. The end of term is always hectic, with a mega number of concerts, trips to Alton Towers and of course, those dreaded reports to write.
Anyway, enjoying some peace and quiet - both kids are at the World Scout Jamboree so the house is staying relatively tidy.
Produce-wise - we are experiencing a bumper crop of peas, and currants have been harvested. Our raspberries are the autumn variety, but looks like courgettes will reach their peak whilst we are away (Isle of Man next week). I too am looking forward to 1000, and perhaps 999 will be an emergency theme.
Isn't Christmas Day the only day the T don't publish? That's a bit of a blow, I think there should be two the week before. Do you think we will be putting all the compilers off their stride with our speculation? Or do you think they will just get ever more fiendishly crafty?
Welcome back ringer.
Anybody want a trailer-load of apples??
thank you all for your help. Much appreciated.
