I went to docs a couple of weeks ago with a painfull knee,she saidshe thought I had a torn ligament and booked me an app. for an Arthroscopy.
Since then my Xray has come back normal,symptoms are,pain in the knee when I walk,knee gives way,I have to go upstairs one at a time if you get what I mean,and after a few yards walking I start to limp,any ideas please?

It sounds more like a cartilage (meniscus) problem rather than a ligamentous injury and unless you had an MRI scan, a routine X-Ray would not show this problem.

Go for your Arthroscopy and get back to us.
