aside from that, surely taking a child - who is under witness protection and just given video conferencing evidence - out into the street in broad daylight breaks all realms of credibility for this storyline.

Read that he is meant to be returning to America this Autumn, where his wife and kids are based, to do a program called 17th precinct. Something they are hoping will run for up to 6 years. So this could be his exit.

They're geeing it up a bit to be more like the American version and I think he'll be written out ..

They've brought in the hard headed lawyer ( Jack McCoy in the US version ) The female DI ( Van Buren in the US version )
Peter Davidson ( possibly Adam Schiff but a bit too young )

All the episodes are based on the US Law & Order .
This particular one was in ,Season 4 ( US )and was entitled Slave .
I'll have to dig out the DVD and have a see who got shot .
