Memory stick - split into two parts??

Just found a memory stick I havent used in a while and popped it onto the newish PC.

The stick is showing as 2 seperate drives in Explorer - one part is 'PUBLIC' and is 7.4Gb (its an 8Gb stick) but the second is shown as 'SECURE' and whilst only 984k I wondered why it appears ike this.

No great problem but how can I join the two back together? Software needed?

Almost certainly, the small partition contains a small utility which you then run (supplying a password) which will unlock the large partition. If you don't need this functionality, you can delete both partitions in Disk Manager and then create a single one which takes up the entire memory stick. You'll have to format it, though, before you can use it...

Although it not possible to remove or change the partitioning on a lot of memory sticks, the partitions are hard coded into the controller.
