I think 3d is miss=lose Tand(y) =losey [google Joseph Losey-never heard of him myself]
5d honey =love, mostly love =lov . Maybe if you slice toast you get the a & t. Seems a bit convoluted to me.

5d may be American spelling LOVET. This would then be LOVE=HONEY + T =slice of toast.
Seems to be increase of Merriam-Webster spellings as answers.
