is there an option in Google Chrome for the spell check not to be 'Americanised'

certain words such as colour , neighbour and a few more are spelt differently than ours, on this page alone, I have 3 that are underlined with the word spelt being another?
or is it because Google is American based?

but now where do I find 'minor tweaks'?
in options, I have looked and can't see it

"Options"
"Under the Bonnet"

then in "Web Content" section, "Languages and spellchecker settings"...
