I have a home security set up using these cameras for their low light capability (down to 0.003 Lux) – which I reckon is around the sensitivity of the human eye.

For the price, I don’t think anyone can match this low light performance. The camera is B/W (not colour), but includes audio. I’m using wide-angle lenses to cover my property. The camera is supplied with a 3.6mm lens as standard, whereas I have fitted 2.1mm lenses.

The rfconcepts site has a lens calculator, which allows you to work out the required lens focal length, based on the height of the object you wish to capture (given the distance of the object from the camera).

rfconcepts sell a range of cctv board lenses which fit the camera – I would also check out e-bay (9mm-22mm zoom board lenses are available), allowing you to adjust the viewing angle of the lens.

You will also need to buy a PSU & leads (to connect the camera to a monitor or DVR).
Here i will suggest you to buy wireless video door phone. A wireless video door phone is a safe and most reliable way of guarding the house against stealthy intruders. The wireless video phones have infra red night vision thus making things visible in dim or no light as well.
