My Baby Squirt got hit by a car

I have been so upset since monday when we found him by the side of the road, I think he died instantly from the trauma to his head, He was such a lovely chap and was very cheaky and funny, He would sit in the bath and wait for you to turn the tap on so he could have a drink, I bought a dog fountain but no it had to be from the bath, Any how I couldn't cope without a tom so meet Ziggy, HE is a hooligan, he wakes me up at 5 am by attack mode on my eye lashes,

How old is Ziggy? He is adorable. I remember seeing the Ferret pictures before - do you still have any of them?

It's weird - some times we need a long time to get over the death of a furry friend. But other times it just seems right to adopt another little orphan.

He is so cute and handsome.

awful when you lose a much loved pet - have been looking at the pics and all your animals look so well and relaxed - obviously happy pets - well done you for giving another kitty a home - hope you have a long and happy time together.

Ziggy is 6 weeks old today, when we got him she told us he was 8 weeks old, she phoned later that night to tell me that he was infact 6 weeks, I have taken him to the vets, He was given the all clear by them and said as long is he was eating and had no sickness or runny pooh he would be fine, hes a little pighog I have added a supplement convalesence to his diet,

Yes we still have the ferrets Bob died, we lost emma in march she was old, but we still have Jaz and pheobe.

So sorry to hear about Squirt, josaphine - poor little chap, but you have some comfort in knowing that he wouldn't have known anything about it - same as it was when our little girl cat was hit by a car some years back. Bless him - he died doing cat things, take comfort in that.

Ziggy looks lovely - what a bundle of mischief, keep us informed!

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear that! It is like losing one of the family when you lose a pet. I have lost 3 of them in my short life and I have never really gotten over it.

Are you going to get another one to replace him?

Jonny if you can look at the link, we got a new little boy, I could never replace squirt, he was so lovely but obviously in the wrong place at the wrong time, I still keep seeing him around the house, But getting Ziggy is keeping us occupied and giving up joy through the tears at the same time.
