I bet the EDL are really chuffed that the actions of these Islamic scum have given the EDL more support in their quest to oppose the spread of Islam in this country.
Each one of these radical Muslims are potential suicide bombers as well as voices for spreading their vile anti Western hatred to other impressionable young Muslim minds.
For these threats alone, and for the safety of innocent British subjects, they should all be arrested under the anti-terrorism laws (which are already in force), tried, convicted and removed from our streets.

Looks to me like about a dozen Islamists and 4 or 5 EDL thugs
They must all be very pleased about how much publicity they're getting.
Although I note the Mail reports a "small" group of Islamic peace protestors
Looks to me like small groups all round with pictures tightly cropped to make them all look more impressive

Noticed the typical 'Left's' overwhelmingly bias descriptions:
"Looks to me like about a dozen Islamists and 4 or 5 EDL thugs"
I would think you would find it most hard to describe the two parties as "about a dozen Islamic thugs and 4 or 5 EDL protesters"?
It was reported that there were 100 Muslim protesters
All I could see were 4 EDL supporters, and these were sitting peacefully on the ground, overlooked and kept in check by a massive police force of 3.

Both numbers were small.
There were certainly more than 5 EDL. This picture of the battle line shows it was pretty even.

I make it 18 muslim protestors counting here. Certainly not 100.

Why are you arguing over numbers? If someone breaks the law they should be arrested and the full force of the law thrown at them. In addition Grmit is correct, starve them of publicity, that is all they are after.
Of course it wont happen in this country becasue we are all too afraid of offending the m'minority' thanks to 13 years of brain washing from New laBOUR

the irony is, as the number of EDL supporters rise, these Islamic extremists are getting exactly what they want, their campaign is working.
For everyone who sees a person they assume is muslim, and sees that person as a threat to them and this country, these extremists have anotehr victory.
Their aim is to build as big a divide between our cultures as possible, why else would they try and stir up so much hatred towards themselves by burning poppies and flags!?!
Let's just hope that these Muslims Against Extremism get more and more coverage to prove that the views of these extremists are not shared by everyone who happens to share their religion.

It is interesting to note:
/// A Met Police spokesman said "that around 20 demonstrators opposed to the Islamic groups were arrested for breach of the peace in the Oxford Street area".
/// Meanwhile, police said "11 people were arrested outside The Tyburn pub on Edgware Road, near Marble Arch, after two men were stabbed".///
Sounds about right 20 EDL demonstrators arrested for 'breach of the peace', yet only 11 people arrested after two EDL members were stabbed, and I would put my money on it that the largest majority of the 11 arrested would also be EDL members.
Why were the Islamic thugs subsequently escorted by police to the Central London Mosque?
Perhaps so they could continue inside the Mosque to preach their vile lessons, and also indoctrinate more gullible Muslims to their cause?
I don't suppose that the Mosque's Leader turned them away?
