Tim Moorey doesn't usually make mistakes, but I'm not sure about this one.10a 'Article written for the Courier?' would suggest 'letter', making the crossed letters in 6d T?T?S. Clue for 6d is 'Italian paintings from intimates? Somehow not me', suggesting 'Titians'. The rules of the puzzle demand the removal of an I and T, leaving TIANS to be inserted in the grid at 6d. So is the answer to 10a 'leader'? If so, why for the Courier?
