Can anyone suggest an account for me to open for my granddaughter
She is not eligible for the child trust fund from the government and I don't want her to miss out

If you wait until November, you can pay into the new Junior ISA which will allow you to invest in either just simple cash, or if you are happy with an element of risk and have time on your side, stocks and shares.
