Any Ideas pleases, My Granddsons Christening...

Is a week on Sunday (6 Months old).

I have opened a small PO savings account for him but, on the day of the Christening I would like to give my daughter something from me to him, so it will to remembered, like a St Christopher for safe travel through his life but knowing he is to young to wear as yet.

What do you think?

My grandad bought all of his grandchildren a silver tube thing for putting their birth certificate in which he had engraved.

When I was godfather to my nieces daughter I gave her one of the two sets of rosary beads my mother gave me. She's 25 now and a mother herself and she still wears them as a necklace.

I was about to say buy coins but boxy's already said that. But I think your original idea is a nice gesture too.

Don't forget to save newspapers from the day of the Christening (or his birth but too late for that I guess) I have saved some from the birth date of my twin nieces 28 years ago - they will love looking through them later in life!

The bible has been bought by my ex wife, but the coins are a brilliant idea boxy and have ordered.
The newspaper on his birthday is also a good idea and will check who does it tomorrow on the internet..
