Is it true our councils get money form the Government to find land for houses

if that's true then they must be barking mad. It should be the other way round, councils should be fined for building on any land unless it has previously been built on.
We will soon be a country of housing and roads. We will be forced to buy in all of our food products and with the price of oil going up we are heading for disaster.
Why do some people believe the answer is to build build build? It has got to stop !!!

Empty one too except those should only be used with the owner's permission; unless low maintenance means there is a genuine environmental case for intervention, since what someone buys and how they use or don't use it, is their own personal decision, not for authorities to dictate about.
Aye, new towns may be a better answer for relieving the situation than spoiling that which folk have already created. But ultimately it is all merely keeping pace with a growing problem the government is failing to tackle. What when there is no more space, or no more scapegoats to scowl at and try to push around ? What when they come to the crunch, have no more 'sticking plaster relief' options, and have failed to solve the issue ?

So long as this country has uncontrolled immigration(despite what the Goverment tell us), and can't get rid of the illegals already here they have to live somewhere. The only solution is to build more homes. Long after I've left this world, hopefully, everyone will be living in skyscrapers.

I wonder if house developers visit the zoo? Human beings are animals, and if they watch the animals in a zoo when they are crowded together with no open space to roam, they start to turn on each other, or lose cognitive skills, pacing up and down in misery.
Look at a very cramped housing estate, and the nightly troubles involving the police - see the similarity ?
