I thought all the legal wrangling has been done to death, so how come they were able to get an injunction yesterday? Does anyone know the legal arguments/position/grounds? Is this a temporary delay in eviction, thanks.
I don't know what grounds there were but I read/heard the judge only heard one side of the story and Basildon council are having their say on Friday and feel confident it will be overturned.
I think the travellers stated that they feared the council would remove more dwelling than they had the authority to move.
You'd think that after 10 years the legal arguments would be done and dusted.
What's the betting they will still be there this time next week?
If the council had not "puss footed" at 8'oclock yesterday morning, we might have seen some action. That bailiff who got a mug of hot tea thrown in his face, goes to prove what type of person they are dealing with, one cannot negotiate with these people.
