Hi,can anybody tell me how much a taxi would be from faro airport to praia de rocha,portugal?i have booked a holiday there but have no transfers,was wondeing if tis best to pre book or just get a taxi when i arrive?thanks

There's a table of estimated taxi fares on the Faro airport website. However, there's an error in the way that the table has been presented, which means that the fares appear on the wrong lines. If you look at the table, you'll see that the standard fare for Arma��o de P�ra is shown as �44 but the next fare, of �53 should be shown alongside Carvoeiro. Thereafter, all the fares need to be dropped down by one line. This means that the fare quoted to Praia da Rocha is �60 (just over �40) on weekday daytimes and �72 (about �50) at other times.

ResortHoppa are expensive for a pre-booked taxi. They quote �136 for a car holding up to 4 people. If you're travelling on your own, their price of �25.50 per person by a shared shuttle service might be worth considering:


However, Shuttle Direct, looks much better. Their fare for one person by taxi is quoted at �37.45. By shared shuttle they only charge �10.97:

cab fares are more expensive if you have luggage in portugal and the drivers are lunatics on the road but its all part of the holiday experience ,you should def book in advance or better still hire a car its really cheap and once your on the main highway its a straightforward drive about 50 mins for a first timer , ENJOY
