Do you know if anyone has ever been successful in getting a grant or financial help towards work on a listed building? I think I am going to have to re-route drainpipes on the front of my house, and the new one will need to be a "Victorian" one-regtangular and white! This will be expensive... Is there anywhere I could try for help?

It's a health and safety issue- not an aesthetic choice-- flooding in the vault ever time it rains!x

I think it would be unlikely unless you were listed Grade II * but you could try contacting your local Planning Department and asking if they could point you in the right direction (as I am sure it is they who are insisting on the correct drainpipes!) This is one of the downfalls of buying a listed building but hopefully there are advantages too !
