Skype?

Ive been told of Skype (or something of a similar name) where you can talk to people online free. Ive googled it but found nothing, does anyone know of this website or its address? Thanks

Or you can try www.voipcheap.co.uk - this allows you to call any landline free - skype only allows you to call other skype users free - and charges you (albeit a low amount) for anyone else.

I put "Skype" into Google, it came out wi 28,800,000 results and skype.com was the first result. You said you couldn't find anything? HMM..........

A colleague of mine uses it all the time and reckons its the future of telephone calls.As I understand it, you download the program from www.Skype.com, and you can then make calls to other Skype users using your Broadband conection.You can buy Skype phones from their website, and these simply plug into your USB port.As oneyedvic mentioned, you can still make calls to non Skpe users at a small cost, and from what I can see on their website,even these calls are far cheaper than using the traditional landline.

missterri I've just looked again an with UK sites only selected it comes up wi 2,390,000 results and the Sype website was about fifth or sixth in the list.

The one 5/6 in list said skype.co.uk but had nothing to do with skype.com, it was selling phones. The actual skype website was not, as far as i could see in any of the first page or so (yes, i did try the links). I didnt actally check all 2 million results or whatever it was, hence my asking on here hoping for a quick simple answer which us what i got!!
