This is what has been happening in England for years, but no think-tank or anyone else for that matter is prepared to address the matter.

1. They do not add to the existing culture.
2. Mixing oil with water does not help the cooking process.
3. Motives for their settling here do nothing to improve the current situation but only to foster their own beliefs and customs.
4. Our concerns about how the country will turn out for our children is too horrible to contemplate.

SR, really where would that be then. I don't notice much policing in our area, which is becoming a ghetto. And if you like, the people who have come here in the last few years are the ones who have settled into these places, and no amount of talk of interaction, integration seems to make any difference. The schools are becoming segregated, by religion as opposed to colour, and one only has to look around Tower Hamlets to know that the situation that has been highlighted in France, is happening here.
Many people don't seem to want to integrate, learn the language or be part and parcel of British life, culture. The same has been said over and again about the British when they settle in France, Spain and so forth, and i don't understand that either in case you were wondering.

/// And most of their inhabitants will be suffering discrimination, poverty, and heavy-handed policing.///
Er, have you direct proof of this?
DISCRIMINATION : Far from it they are well protected by the laws of the land against any form of discrimination, unlike the indigenous population.
POVERTY : We are an equal opportunity country which enjoys the benefits of a welfare state, so therefore everyone is entitled to a certain standard of living, in fact some immigrants enjoy a better standard of living than some native inhabitants.
HEAVY-HANDED POLICING : Another false conception, the police have strict rules when it comes to dealing with the ethnic minorities, and are constantly forced to carry out their duties according to PC directives (perhaps this is why they are called PCs)
For proof of this one witnessed the way the police stood back and watch rioting and looting during the first of the London riots.
Another example, was how the Muslims managed to get 'terrorist surveillance cameras' removed from their areas.

there is something ironic about AOG demanding direct proof
I also think the matter of communities becoming divided is often addressed by many different groups however the reasons it occurs is difficult to tie down and even if you could the solution is complex and possibly beyond solving in the short term in some cases... not to say we shouldn't keep trying though.

It's not just England, AOG, you need to extend to GB, - Scotland, N.Ireland and Wales also have minority populations who tend to live with others with whom they're familiar. It's not that much different from a Brit enclave of expats on the Costa del Sol - living with other people who understand your norms is very comforting to some people.
