Do I say Regards? sincerely? faithfully?........I know what I'd like to say but I think it's best to be polite.

> Bit of a grey area there Philtaz

No there isn't - not in the slightest...
Ah well, that was secondary school education for you 30+ years ago!

I'll give way to those more erudite than I....!

Chuck your right, I may have being a bit hasty in going with "without Prejudice" I've sent the email and gone "Yours sincerely".
You didn't include "your right" in it, did you...?

Gone with^
Who actually cares these days?

As long as the letter says what you want in a clear and concise way then sign it off "cheers, Dude" if you want.

It makes no difference.

(I was also educated in the "Dear Sir / Madam - Yours faithfully," school, but it really doesn't matter.)

Who? me Mark?
An angry letter? ...

'May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your ar$ehole'

That should do it : )
Lol Al ................ I was always taught that, if you know them, it's "sincerely". If you don't, it's "faithfully"
> if you know them, it's "sincerely"

The point is not whether you know them personally, it's whether you are addressing them by their name or not...
Right on : )
If it's not to that point, Al, I'd say....

Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

is more appropriate.
Don't bring Python into the saga
lol : )

I sent a 'complaining letter' to Orange (broadband) about their customer service once ...

It ended ...

''Orange should be renamed LEMON.
Idiots''

Never heard back (which is a good thing .. as I didn't want free Naan's sent)
Sad really that people make a mockery of a system, nay institution, of how to write a letter.
Nowadays, l'm really surprised that people can actually string words together to form sentences correctly in their true grammatical form!
Dear Sirs - it's yours faithfully
Dear Mr/Mrs/Ms whoever, it's yours sincerely.
Depending upon the content of the letter itself, you would only add without prejudice, should you not want to have the contents of the letter thrown back at you in a legal situation. This is usually only for letters requiring settlements of a kind, but if unsure, inserting it would do no harm whatsover.
You have obviously sent your letter, so good luck!
i woudl not write anything...just write your name at the bottom
