I was just phoned by my hysterical sister, after getting her to calm down and relax she then told me that something horrible had happened.
Two months ago several sheep had been found slaughtered and butchered and in bits by the lake and this was blamed on wolves though no evidence was ever found and wolves are neither big enough or strong enough to do that kind of damage. There used to be many fish in this lake but all the fish seem to have disappeared and no one knows why.
Tonight my sister said she was sitting outside on her patio in the dark with the lights on in her conservatory and noticed her dog barking at the lake she assumed that the dog may have been barking at a fish or other water creature when suddenly something came out of the water clamped it's jaws around the yelping dog and took the dog to the bottom of the lake and her dog was a large 18 stone rotveiler so whatever took it was substancially larger. I've told her to phone the police but as she's had mental problems in the past she doesn't want to get sectioned again.Im going to see her with a few friends, some traps and our guns (All legally held) and we're going to stakeout the lake to get to the bottom of this has anyone got any idea what it was or how it got into the lake?

doesn't ratter have 18 stone Rotties - take a look at his avatar.....

maybe he is at the bottom of this mystery?
I don't have any Rotties!! tutut!!

I have Wolfhounds, so much more sophisticated!
A catfish. Can grow to be 10' long and weigh 20st. They can also crawl out of the water. Keep away from the lake on dark nights.
Its murph on a hunting holiday....

It could of course be one of a small population of carnivorous dinosaurs protected from the last mass extinction event by freak environmental circumstances

Or it could be guano
As several posters have already suggested it's obviously Nessie on her holidays from Loch Ness
"after getting her to calm down and relax"...

I would struggle to "relax" after witnessing my beloved dog being eaten by a vicious monster.
I don't think its real NoM..... but fun all the same
It can't be real... Unless the 18-stone rotten was cross-bred with a woolly mammoth...
Now that would be interesting to see...
It was funny though...
