Hi I am cooking a ham shank for the 1st time . . . . soaked it overnight . . . now have it simmering in a pot . . . can anyone let me know at what point I remove the skin

I remove it once it's all cooked
What are you cooking it in/with?
throw some cabbage in with it -FAB
as soon as it's fully cooked and the ham is falling away, I am doing this tonight in prep for making soup tomorrow
