KC Registering a pup

I am looking to buy a Cocker Spaniel bitch puppy but the dam is not KC registered. Does this mean that I won't be able to KC register the pup? TIA

KC registration doesnt mean anything, it is just a piece of paper, and unless you plan to show/breed in the future, it isnt important. However, having said that, have you checked to ensure appropriate health tests have been carried out on both parents, as if the dam isnt KC registered, I would guess not?
