Seriously, what ever possessed this young woman to ruin it all with a few hours of madness? Is she inherently bad and found the chance for lawlessness irresistable? Was she just captivated by the "occasion"? What happenned? Any shrinks out there explain this?

I remember reading about this girl when she was first caught, I think it was probably the herd mentality, caught up with what was happening, and wanted to keep up with her peers.

Shame though.
They say do not judge a book by its cover. But in this case, she looks like a Kn0bhed.

would ^^^^^ be describes as "a chav " ?
Swept along in the euphoria of the moment - as Lonnie says, herd mentality.
not a shrink, but suggest that this may not have been a moment of madness, but perhaps a symptom of the sort of society we live in, grab what you can and to hell with the consequences
"London youth ambassador" you goota love the nu-labour title.

obviously she was good at her job.......plenty followed her example !

"She was described by the local council's leader as a "very talented athlete".

at the end of the day just another chavvy scraggy scumbag that fooled a fair few people in the local council.......no suprises there
Hang on a moment - until the London riots, was there anything in her past to suggest she was anything but a great role model for kids (apart from her hair, which looks like the by-product of the recent BP oil spill).

Inherently bad or Queen of the D*ckheads? Who knows...and without interviewing her, none of us can answer your subsequent questions.

However, there's something you should consider. Something like this happened before. Normal, civilised people queuing at Ikea in Enfield turn absolutely mental when the doors opened, with levels of violence you'd normally associate with 70s football grounds:

I hate that stupid thing they do with their fingers.
What qualified her to be a "youth ambassador"? Lots of black ex crimimals seem to have cushy jobs as some sort of youth community spokespersons. Nice work if you can get it.
