I believe it is a vaginal infection although not a sexually transmitted one, and yes only women get it.

I had a years of problems with this annoying and irritating infection, from 16 years - 20 years of age, it was only after this that I found out what the cause was, I had tried everything under the sun to get rid of it, me and my mum used to scour the market for something to help me......the cause ! I was allergic to my boyfriends sperm, it all clicked into place when I cast my mind back to when i started having problems, I then split with my cheating rotten boyfriend (although please remember its NOT a STD and isn't caused by someone having lots of partners, so don't jump to conclusions or anything) !! but he had though, and when I finished with him, I have never had a problem again.
