I have a Camelia in my garden, last year is got lots of lovely pink flowers but this year when the buds opened they were all brown and looked dead. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do. Thanks.
A camellia must not face the rising sun. If there is a night frost in springtime, the sun coming up can raise the temperature too quickly and spoil the buds.
If it is facing east, try to move it to a spot where it will be sheltered from the dawn sun. If it is too big to move, you'll just have to listen to every springtime weather-forecast and be ready with the garden-fleece.
