What a retrograde step that in the revamped paper the cryptic and general knowledge puzzles no longer attract prizes and the answers are given elsewhere in the magazine. One less ST reader so far as I am concened.

Any other views?

I am also disappointed with the change. Although I seldom posted off an entry, it still added to the challenge to know I potentially could. Even the daily puzzles are a challenge to complete before the answers are revealed the following day, but it is definitely a spoiler to know the answers are just a few pages away.

Unfortunately, I'll still be getting the Sunday Telegraph because I have a quartly subscription and the Sunday edition is part of the complete package.

I think we are going to be seeing a lot fewer questions asked on this section of AnswerBank from now on.

I didn't renew our subscription and am glad I didn't now.
I have even given up buying it in the week and read it on the internet.I only buy it on Saturday Sunday and Monday.Now I shall not be buying it on a Sunday either.Most disappointing.I bet there will be some irate letters to the editor.

Could soembody recommend an alternative please ? Is the Times better than the Observer ? I used to have MOS but I do like a good cryptic crossword.

Is there not one of you who is prepared to contact the Sunday Telegraph and tell them your opinions? Surely if you are concerned enough about the issue to change your Sunday paper, you at least ought to try and get them to look at the decision again?

Yes I agree with all the comments on this matter, and I have just completed the Feedback on their website,at www.telegraph.co.uk/sunday and made my feelings VERY clear!!

The whole re-vamp is a complete disaster and totally unnecessary! Aside from the Crosswords, the TV/Radio section is much too bulky to keep for 7 days, and who wants yet another womens magazine!!

As a subscriber, I received a letter from the editor a couple of days ago, giving notice of the changes. It reminded me of an exam paper asking the student to`correct the following passage'. I hadn't enough red biro to do so - it was unbelievable!

Let's hope that there enough complaints to bring about a re-think.

Also aggrieved. Cannot stop getting because subscriber but will be expressing discontent via web page. If all complainants do likewise I'm sure it will revert. Also a good time to mention that book tokens are far preferable to expensive fountain pens which I'm sure nobody uses these days.

Agree with all that's been said. Think that ST Xword department has descended into an unmitigated disaster zone. Always used to look forward to Sun mornings (have won several times but that is not important) The idea of giving the solution in the same magazine is ludicrous, and as someone else said earlier, could well spell an end to the fun we all have with Qs and As at the weekend. Let's pray they get their act together - SOON!!

I've just e-mailed the Telegraph to cancel my subscription.I left them in no doubt as to my reasons. You never know, enough of us may just make a difference, and if not, at least they lose some earnings.

I have just used the Telegraph's website feedback to complain but had difficulty keeping it within the 500 character limit !

They don't tell you there's a limit until try to submit. Darned nuisance.

It makes me wonder if they carried out ANY market research at all concerning the revamp.

I thought that the newspaper front cover was an improvement. A clear example that you cannot judge a book by its cover.

To say the lack of decent crosswords ruined my Sunday is over the top, but I was a bit more snappy than usual.
