When I look under the bonnet I cannot see where the smoke is coming from, somewhere at the back of the engine I think, and the smell is like burning paraffin. At the same time the trip computer shows a sudden large increase in fuel consumption, 1 to 2 galls per hour on idle against normal .2 galls per hour. After a few minutes the smoke stops and the fuel consumption goes back to normal. I've had a garage look at the car on more than once but they are unable to find anything. Anyone else had this?
