If found guilty, what would be an appropriate punishment for this young woman?
No doubt some will ask what happened to provoke such a foul mouthed tirade (especially in the presence of her young child).

Whatever happened, bravo to those who chastised her, and double-bravo for everyone keeping their cool and not responding in kind.

One wonders would this womans mouth had been as big had this been at night with the tram full of young potentially violent youngsters, or was this a calculated attack on peaceful people knowing the risk of retribution was slim?

the guy behind nearly did kick off when she asked what "country are you all from? Niga..Nicaragua!?"
She thinks what she thinks because she's been getting her information from similarly ignorant and intolerant sources. The type that lie or that twist any facts to meet their agenda. She clearly doesn't do any thinking for herself. It just goes to show how dangerous these types of sources of erroneous information are.

After a time to consider,I now think that a Prison term for this woman, and a care order for the child ,would be an expensive waste.
More and more people are expressing concern re Immigrant numbers in the UK
but one of things that makes me most proud of our nation,is our willingness to offer asylum to People in fear for their lives in their homeland. But yes,our infrastructure is buckling under the sheer weight of numbers.
The best course of action is to possibly "Tailor" a Community Service Order
whereby Miss West is sent to work at a Refugee Centre..and to actually "muck in" and mix with genuine Asylum Seekers, and maybe learn of the terrible things that these people have had to endure.

A quick thought - to those who are asking/commenting that we don't know what happened before the video was taken, I'd like to suggest that you're missing another obvious question: why the cameraman/woman felt the need to record this in the first place. What was of interest about this woman that s/he felt the need to record her? I'd suggest that there's an overwhelmingly strong possibility that the reason this woman was of interest to them is because she was already spouting racist bilge in a manner that was worthy of attention.
Sgt rock did you see any indication on that video that there was maybe another aggressor? I didn't.
Did you see a white woman stand up for others and her child who even said "I'm english what do you have to say to me, f-all" as well as several white people looking bemused and disgusted at the moronic imbecile?
We all did didn't we.
Lets not try and make nothing into something and try and stick to the truth and facts here.

Didn't sound middle class to me and if she votes you can't predict who she votes for! Poor child having to suffer it that's what I say but as far as why she behaved like she did has there been any explanation from anyone? Not that it excuses the behaviour but what if she wasn't white but from an ethnic minority would people be so quick to jump on the behaviour? Pity the other white passengers didn't say anything, it might have shut her up...but that's life nowadays, people angry and horrible to one another, terrible that it happens and all people can do is film it and other acts of bad (and worse) behaviour. <shakes head at what this country has become>

Yes of course, being drugged up, racist abusive intimidating and a horrible person to innocent others with a child on your lap is disgusting whatever your ethnicity or colour.
I've seen this happen in spain, greece africa india south america australia and russia towards the english or other ethnic groups.
racism is worldwide and needs to be stamped out.
