The Lidl adverts are good aren't they!

Hello!

The Lidl ads they've put on lately are so good! I especially like the parrot "Like" one, the old lady "tea" one and the bloke "Irish Cream" one.

What do you think of them? :)

Hadn't seen the cat one; just watched it on youtube- brilliant! I like both Aldi and Lidl; got a cover for my car from Lidl for £5 (bargain!) and agree the spinach pizzas are lovely! Aldi also do a spinach pizza; think it's spinach and ricotta which is really nice.

all believable but - if taken into any/either of these stores you'd find they are like for like - exactly the same layout.

They might not offer everything to enable you to do a complete weekly shop - but I find that what I buy from there is good quality and value

I'd have a very unhappy husband if it wasn't for Lidl and Aldi .
If I couldn't get herrings in cream and sauerkraut WW3 could possibly break out :)

Oh yes shaney the herrings in cream are nice. tbh I get Aldi and Lidl mixed up. Although I thought Aldi was Irish and Lidl German or Swedish. Lidl chocolate is much nicer than ours. I usually end up spending loads on chocolate and nuts when I go there.

The herrings are very nice apparently askyourgran . Mr S eats them for breakfast ...yuk :)
They do have some nice stuff though ,but like anywhere you have to pick and choose .They do cater for the British taste .The stores in Germany are completely different stock wise .

You have to know what to get. We don't go often enough to know what is nice. You can't go far wrong with tinned fish in a sauce, the spicy tomato one is nice - although for a lunchtime snack with toast not for breakfast.

Yes .I only go for certain things .Stuff that Mr. S craves for .
They used to be really cheap but of course with the fluctuation with the Euro some of the things are no more cheaper than than other places .Just a bit dfferent .
They do have good bargains on their specials though .I bought a couple of cupboards in Lidl a while back . Sort of a three shelf thing wth drop down doors ,for storage. Brilliant .Very well made .
